GREENSBORO, N.C. - Boston College women's lacrosse goalie Shea Dolce was named the ACC and IWLCA Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
It's the first weekly award of the season for Dolce and the second of the season for the Eagles. It's the second IWLCA weekly honor and the third ACC award for the sophomore.
Dolce played a pivotal role in the Eagles' 18-3 win over Duke last Saturday, limiting the Blue Devils to a season low in goals scored. The Darien, Conn. native made a season-high 11 saves and a career-best .
